Video Technology Inspections Across North Jersey

Did you know that your property's sewer lines should be inspected every three to five years? That's because over time, sewer lines can become clogged or damaged, causing problems like backups, overflowing toilets, and slow drains. At Royal Rooter & Drain Cleaning, our experienced technicians ensure that your sewer lines are in good working condition - and we do it without causing any damage to your property.

What Is a Sewer Camera Inspection?

Sewer camera inspections are the best way to assess the condition of your sewer lines. A small camera is inserted into the sewer line, allowing our technicians to get a close-up look at the condition of the pipes. This allows us to identify any problems, such as clogs, leaks, or cracks.

The Sewer Camera Inspection Process

At Royal Rooter & Drain Cleaning, we use state-of-the-art equipment to inspect your sewer lines. Our technicians are highly trained and experienced in performing these types of inspections.

Our unique process is outlined in detail below, so you know exactly what to expect:

  • Insertion of the camera. To begin, we will insert a small camera into the sewer line. The camera is attached to a flexible rod, which is fed through the sewer line.
  • Video recording. As the camera moves through the sewer line, it will record video footage of the condition of the pipes. This footage is then transmitted to a monitor, so our technicians can see what's going on.
  • Inspection and assessment. Our technicians will closely inspect the video footage to identify any problems, such as clogs, leaks, or cracks. If we find any problems, we will assess the best way to repair them.
  • Repair and maintenance. Once the inspection is complete, our technicians will repair any problems that were found. We will also provide you with a customized maintenance plan to prevent future problems.

The entire process takes approximately two hours, from start to finish. We understand that your time is valuable, so we will work quickly and efficiently to get the job done right.

  • How can I prevent my drains from getting clogged in the first place?
There are several things you can do to help prevent your drains from becoming clogged. First, be careful of what you put down them – avoid pouring grease or oil down the drain, as this can solidify and cause a blockage. Second, invest in some drain strainers or hair catching devices to help keep hair and other debris from going down the drain. Finally, regularly run hot water down your drains to help break up any potential clogs that may be forming.
  • What are some common causes of clogged drains?
There are many potential causes of clogged drains, including everything from hair and soap buildup to more serious blockages like tree roots or foreign objects. In most cases, a simple combination of hot water and vinegar can clear out most clogs. However, if you find yourself dealing with a more stubborn blockage, you may need to call in a professional.
